About Tanzanair

TANZANAIR, formed in 1969, pioneered aviation throughout Tanzania and continues to live up to its slogan as “the complete aviation company”.

The Company was founded by Mr Dinos J Samaras in 1969 and managed the Company until he passed away in April 2010. The Company is now headed by his son, John Samaras, who was his deputy since 1983. The Board is chaired by Mrs Angeliki Samaras, his wife who is also the co-founder of the Company.

With nearly 54 years’ experience of providing tailor made air travel to suit the needs of its customers and with a modern fleet of twin and single engined Cessna and Beechcraft turbine aircraft, TANZANAIR’s well established reputation ensures that it leads the way in air charter services throughout the region.

Whether the need is for business or pleasure, for small or large groups, TANZANAIR has the resources, the aircraft and the experience to do the job. Operating from its own terminal at Julius Nyerere (Dar) International Airport, TANZANAIR provides economical, time saving travel between the holiday resorts and business centres of the country, punctually and with courtesy.

TANZANAIR is the only authorised Cessna Service Station for Tanzania, and its engineering workshops maintain a number of Company aircraft to include government, corporate, private and even aircraft of other charter
